Well, I wouldn't call it a full-blown QB controversy because we keep being told that Derek Anderson is absolutely the starter going into next season. However, the possibilities are there for one; I think the fans like to make it more than it is considering Quinn's NFL experience totals just one series. When I think of the situation, I think about what happened in San Diego a few years ago with Philip Rivers - a team cannot let that potential talent just sit on the bench.

I agree with Dan 100%. When you read articles praising the decision to keep DA you typically only see one stat. His age. The TD/INT numbers speak to the volume of passes and the risk/reward offense we've thankfully adoptted. Falling back on the fact that he has a year under his belt (in which he got worse down the stretch) and that he was a pro-bowler (maybe the weakest QB ever) doesn't cut it. Do I think that DA is an average-slighlty above average QB, yes? If Savage actually did turn down a 1st and a 3rd, that is disapointing. Who cares what the team does with him after that. We just got one of the top 2 OLB's in the draft and a solid CB.
