Life long Brown fan from NYC. Father worked at Fordham U and my cousin and I would sit in the CenterField bleachers in Yankee stadium each week with all the priests from Fordham, rooting against the Giants.
You won't believe how bad it will be for the Browns if they hire Mangenius. Jet fans always place their latest favorite in the Hall of Fame before they do anything. Mangenius, Vilma, Chad Pennington, the list goes on and on.
He won 10 games his first year with the Jets, with and easy schedule. See last years Browns. Won 9 this year playing AFC West and NFC west - which should have guaranteed at least 6 wins because the got Arizona on the road. Nothing indicates he has a clue. The only person in NE you can be sure who knows what he is doing is Bill B and he isn't leaving. When you hear the current Jet players on talk radio it all ways sounds the same:
We had a great week of practice and practiced hard - gee doesn't everyone in the NFL
The coaches provided a great game plan but we couldn't execute it - Gee maybe the game plan wasn't really that great if it was designed for a more talented bunch
It's a process that you have to follow to get to the top -
Gee really need a project manager for my head coach.
Last winner for the Browns was Blanton Collier, pro assistant under Paul Brown, became head college coach - then back to Browns.
The one thing you always new about Bellecheck is his teams usually adjusted all the way back to the Giant's defense. Usually anything you got in the first half was gone in the second.
Mangenius's teams never seemed to adjust. Remind you a little bit of Romeo. When the Browns played Philly in that last Monday night game, I thought I was watching a replay Joe Thomas being beaten by a speed rusher. Didn't realize it was happening that consistently. Romeo maybe the blocking scheme needed to be changed?
