Notice that the team picked up Floyd Womack from the Seahawks to address the imbalance in our O line and to fill the gap left by Shaffer. Finally someone other than a Jet! Womack will help.

I don’t think it is all the money here. This is a recognition I like to think that our pass protection last year was pitiful, even where the opposition was not blitzing. Now you might say why blame it on Shaffer. It’s not blame – he just happens to be a member of that group that performed badly in 2008 and who is up for contract discussions.
