Donte Stallworth Facing Mandatory 3 1/2 to 15 Years in Prison

Now, I do not consider myself very educated with the legal system, especially that of Florida’s.  However, I do know that WR Donte’ Stallworth is, in a word, effed. This, of course, leaves the Browns receiving corps extremely screwed as well, as the team has recently parted ways with TE Kellen Winslow and WR Joe Jurevicius in the past few weeks. One can assume that Stallworth is just about done with the Browns as well. What was once a strong point for the team (oh, about a year ago) has now become one of the weakest units in the league.

There has been a lot of talk about what could be happening to Stallworth, but this video from “Speaking of Justice with Scott Drake,” part of the LB Network explains it very well (there’s some chilling footage of Stallworth being talked to by authorities right after the accident, if you haven’t seen that already):

Thanks to Myron Yamaha for the video.

The most chilling aspect for Donte is that the 3.5 years in prison is the MANDATORY MINIMUM for DUI manslaughter – the Judge has no discretion to go below that.  If that is the charge that is eventually laid, then Stallworth better head to the barber in case he is found guilty.
