Aaron Curry was gone. Several other defensive stars remained such as Brian Orakpo, Clay Matthews and Rey Maualuga. The Browns decided to trade the number five overall pick to the New York Jets. With the Browns selecting two receivers in the second round yesterday – Brian Robiskie and Mohamed Massaquoi – the speculation of Braylon Edwards’ future with the Browns continues.  This time, there is word of Edwards being involved in a deal with the New York Jets that would send RB Thomas Jones to Cleveland.  This rumor was apparently fueled when the Jets decided to pick RB Shonn Greene out of Iowa. Head coach Eric Mangini has been busy turning the Browns into the Cleveland Jets this offseason, so it wouldn’t be all that surprising to see a move like this happen.  [...]

On this fateful date, 10 years ago Tim Couch was selected #1 by the Browns.  And in memory of that I would like to wish everyone a Happy Tim Couch day, so dust off that old” Timmy C” jersey or tee and wear it proudly today!! Dear Mr. Mangini and Mr. Kokinis, If you two decide to trade Brady Quinn and/or Braylon Edwards be prepared to to ran out of town and lose thousands of fans along the way.
