I think we got very little for the 5th pic in the draft. I mean the Jsts were probably going to cut Coleman and Ratliff is a nobody. He's a career back up. Now Elam is a player but not a great one. The thing is that we only got one draft pic for it because we swapped 1st round pics so you cant count the late first round pic. The Redskins would have given more Im told. Oh well . It could be worse , we could have gotten Herm Edwards as a coach. Hes dumber than dumb.

I like the analysis, overall, but I wouldn't go so far in downplaying Crabtree's ceiling. That said, I wholeheartedly agree that Robiskie is a much smarter pick than Crabtree would have been, given the absence of the weird personaility issues and possibility of baggage of Crabtree. Mack reminds me of the Nick Mangold pick by the Jets a few years ago, and could prove to be a darned nice anchor for years to come.

As a Jets fan, I wanted Browns fans to know that I think the Browns and the Jets both got a good deal in our trade. Coleman is an adequate DE, but Elam (who was known as "Big Play Abe" in NY) has pro bowl potential and Ratliff is an unknown quantity with a HUGE potential upside (if he ultimately proved a better QB than Mark Sanchez I would not be totally surprised). The ideal NFL trade is one that benefits both teams equally, and I think -- until a true analysis can be done 5 years from now -- that this looks like one of those trades.
