@Jeff if it was ONE isolated incident, sure. The fact remains that Brian Russel almost lost his entire elbow from a staff infection he had while playing for the browns. Braylon Edwards had a racquetball sized chunk of flesh removed from his arm after getting a 1/4 inch scratch on a piece of gym equipment in the Browns training facility. LeCharles Bently almost DIED because the staff reached his heart. Not once but TWICE Kellen Winslow Jr. contracted the SAME bacteria resistant strain. Then there was Joe. What hasn't hit the media as hard is all the Browns staff that have contracted staph infections, over a dozen.

The Browns owned the locker room, but they subcontracted to the Cleveland Clinic for the running of that facility. What is criminal here is that after the FIRST time the Browns didn't setup some QA of the Cleveland Clinic and their practices. They never brought in another medical professional to audit the procedures for cleaning the facilities and equipment. These guys are working out with open wounds to rehab that much faster. This equipment needs to be surgically sterile for EACH PLAYER that uses it.

The Browns will try to settle, but Joe wants to make a precedent that teams can not mandate that you use their facilities and not have them up to standards.

I honestly cannot say I blame the man for such a gross error on the part of the Browns and the medical staff that operated on him . . . .

I think you're going way out on a limb by assuming that these allegations are true. Don't you find it pretty hard to believe that trained medical processionals don't make sure their equipment is disinfected?
