The quarterback nightmare is back, as we will once again have to deal with the debate over who should be the starting quarterback of the Browns. Brady Quinn was benched in favor of Derek Anderson on Sunday, and Anderson responded by throwing three interceptions. Now Eric Mangini is somehow faced with the dilemma of who to start against the Bengals, although it seems like a fairly easy decision.
Sure, Anderson can stretch the field, but it would help to see him actually get the ball to his own receivers. Quinn just seems afraid to make any mistakes and is stuck [...]

Can You Spell P-A-T-H-E-T-I-C?
Whose face and name do you want to see on a “Browns” bag? We may start seeing more and more of the pictures below outside Cleveland Browns Stadium.
The Browns were whipped today in Baltimore 34-3 against the Ravens. No touchdowns for Cleveland, again. Quinn takes more sacks – now 10 in as many quarters of football. He gets replaced by Anderson who throws three picks in the second half. We demonstrate zero offense. Our offensive line from Mack to St. Clair to Womack gets creamed on every down. Cribbs gains a lot of yards on returns for not.
So now what? How do [...]
Joe Barnes of FanSided’s very own Ebony Bird and Matt Sadler of a Baltimore sports blog called Right Off Russell were nice enough to answer a few questions about the Browns-Ravens game:
The Ravens currently have one of the best offenses in the NFL, and Joe Flacco obviously has a lot to do with that success. What adjustments has he made in his second season to improve upon that impressive rookie campaign?
Joe: The one obvious difference you can see in Flacco is his poise in the pocket, meaning he gained more confidence in his offensive line and his receivers since last [...]

Running back Jamal Lewis is going to be questionable for Sunday’s game against the Baltimore Ravens after injuring his hamstring against Denver. Not that high hopes were really flying for the Browns in this one, but this obviously will not help at all. Through two games, Lewis’ backups – James Davis and Jerome Harrison – have combined for 13 yards on seven carries.
The Ravens have the league’s top-ranked rush defense, allowing just 41 rushing yards per game, and the Browns’ offensive line – particularly the right side of it – has been getting dominated so far this season. Not having [...]
Eric Berry Watch (weeks 1 & 2)
Ok so after two weeks of the NFL, the Browns are in the drivers seat to a top five pick, which bodes well in order to draft Berry. The team has looked, well, less than impressive, and that’s being nice.
Alright, so like I said the Browns are, again, looking at an early selection in April’s draft, especially when you consider that the team has yet to play a game against Baltimore or $hitsburgh, and there will be four of those to come.
In the mean time all Eric Berry has done, is go out and continue to dominate. Take a look [...]
It is obvious that the entire blame of the ineptitude of the offense cannot be placed on QB Brady Quinn. However, it is right to have some concern over just how poor the offense has been playing and to place some – nay, much – of that blame on Quinn. The offense does run through him, after all.
That being said, Eric Mangini has made sure everybody knows he is sticking with Quinn. It is only two games into the season, and one could argue that Quinn is essentially still a rookie learning the ropes. We will never know what he [...]
Browns Get Thumped At Mile High
The Cleveland Browns are 0-2. They lost by 21 points this afternoon in Denver against the Broncos. The final score was 27-6. It was tight at the half, but again, the Browns fell apart in the third and fourth quarters.
It is very early yet in the season, but with the Bengals beating Green Bay at Lambeau Field today, the pressure is on the Browns to avoid lingering in the basement of the AFC North.
We like to stay positive about the Browns, but three things struck us today more than anything else. First, lost opportunities. You cannot be successful in the [...]

Well, I never thought I would write something about Eric Mangini being probed by anyone, but here it goes. The NFL is investigating the Browns’ head coach for his role in not placing QB Brett Favre’s torn biceps tendon on injury reports last season.
Because this is the almighty Brett Favre, the league has to decided to look into whether or not Mangini and/or the New York Jets committed some sort of wrongdoing in not reporting Favre’s injury. Mangini and the Jets could be facing a fine if it is decided that yes, they should have in fact made Favre’s injuy [...]
