I hear this so much, would someone please explain to me what they see in this year’s team that suggests that Mangini has in any way improved the team since taking over? Do I really need to take two whole years before I’m allowed to form an opinion about the way Mangini has transformed a team that was 10-6 two years ago into a team that is now 1-7, can’t move the ball on offense to save its life, and has a defense so bad giving up 30 points to the Bears is considered an accomplishment? Do you really think that there is no level of failure the team can achieve this year that would allow you to form an opinion as to whether the guy deserves a second?

As for Mangini being fired; it is a matter of time I believe. As soon as Lerner can fire him w/o paying out the rest of his contract he will be gone. Lerner is conducting an “investigation” in to the daily activities of Mangini now.

Does he deserve more time. I don’t think so. Since the day he was hired he has done very little to better this team. He didn’t acknowledge our probowl defensive tackle(It isn’t like our team has a roster full of them). He knew about the offensive struggles this team had last season and he still brought in an inexperienced offensive coordinator that was a buddy of his in N.Y. to run the offense. He refuses to restructure Cribbs(team MVP) contract which is distracting not only to Cribbs, but the whole team. He drug out a QB competition all off season costing the team any kind of offensive continuity to start the season. He is enforcing maximum fines on players for $3 bottle of water. He has stuck with DA entirely to long, saying that he gives the team the best chance to win. I don’t know about you, but with 11 draft picks next season I’m scared if he is evaluating talent this way!The MOST important fact that he needs fired is that the players have quit on him. The players don’t seem to care. Next time you watch a game look at them on the sidelines. They look uninterested in the a$$ whooping that is being handed to them.

If he was doing anything to show that he still wants this job I would be willing to give him some time. He could fire the offensive coordinator. Or how about explaining some of the decisions he has been making(QB play, play calling, etc.)He shows no emotion himself. I think that he wasn’t ready for the job.

If we can fire him now that gives us the right to go ahead and get a jump start on talking to some of the other super bowl winning coaches that are available. The job itself has to be somewhat appetizing. It don’t look like it, but it is. We have young talent on defense that just need some time and help from the offense to keep them off the field so much. We have 11 draft picks this year. That in it’s self has to be appealing. We don’t have a GM(Which most of these coaches are going to want to do themselves). We have QB issues, but those could be figured out if we would play Quinn( that way we would know to keep or get rid of him). Get rid of DA now if possible, He probably don’t care one way or another. We need a running back. Davis looked promising in the preseason, and he could split time with Harrison. The oline needs tweeked, but with that many draft picks you could get it all done.

Bottom Line Mangini needs to go!
Start Quinn and find out what you got with him!
Get someone that knows what they are doing to run the show!!!!!!
