Josh Cribbs Will Play on Sunday Against the Saints

Despite sustaining a concussion last week against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Josh Cribbs will play against the New Orleans Saints this Sunday. Cribbs took one of the controversial hits from Steelers linebacker James Harrison that resulted in Harrison receiving a $75,000 fine. The do-it-all Browns player, though, has continued to emphasize the point that he does not think that Harrison is a dirty player or that he needs to change his game in any way.

Whether or not you feel the same way as Cribbs, it will be good to see him on the field on Sunday because, well, the Browns desperately need him. Mohamed Massaquoi hasn’t been practicing and it doesn’t look like he will play, and much of the rest of the offense is banged up. Not to mention the Browns are once again down to their third-string quarterback in Colt McCoy.

Far too many players come back too soon after sustaining a concussion, and I hope that’s not the case with Cribbs. There’s a lot of pressure to consistently perform in this league, and it’s hard to imagine that many people are completely healed only a week after that kind of head injury. But hey, I’m not a doctor.
