8-Year-Old Jets Fan Tackled by Browns Fan After Sunday’s Game

Well, this certainly won’t help the image of Cleveland Browns fans. After the Browns’ 26-20 overtime loss to the New York Jets last Sunday, a drunken Browns fan decided it would be a good idea to tackle to the ground an 8-year-old boy who was wearing a Jets jersey and walking with his father back to the parking lot.

Naturally, this is another black eye for one of the most loyal fan bases in the NFL. I’m all for heckling someone who wears another team’s jersey in your own team’s stadium, but a kid? And to throw hot dogs at him, swear at him, and then tackle him? Who gets so drunk that doing any of that to an 8-year-old seems like a good idea?

This, of course, isn’t the first time that Browns fans have made news for being pretty stupid. Here, go back in time with this little gem:

Unless that kid was throwing around some pretty offensive insults, I’m gonna chalk this one up to being some pretty poor judgment on the part of the apparently enraged Browns fan.
