Peyton Hillis Not Practicing; Eric Mangini Expects Monday Meeting

Running back Peyton Hillis is listed as questionable for tomorrow’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers with sore ribs, as he missed practice for three straight days this week. Even if he is able to go, fans will probably get to see plenty of Mike Bell, who, surprisingly, looked pretty good against the Baltimore Ravens last week.

It’s been a tough end to the season for Hillis, and it’s too bad, because he was crafting a pretty good resume for the Pro Bowl. The Browns certainly worked him overtime and the season eventually took its toll on him. Just another reason that the Browns need to find a solid back-up running back. Could Montario Hardesty be it?

– In other news, it is a new year, but that won’t stop me from talking about the biggest topic that ended 2010: Eric Mangini’s job security. He expects to have a meeting on Monday with team president Mike Holmgren that will help decide his future with the Browns, but it’s hard not to think that tomorrow will be Mangini’s last game as head coach.
