Hey, if Colt McCoy Doesn’t Work Out…How About His Brother?

Colt McCoy is currently the starting quarterback for the Cleveland Browns. That much we know. What he will do with the job remains to be seen. But hey, even if he flames out as a quarterback in the NFL, there is always his younger brother, Case, to consider. Not that I believe Colt actually will flame out but…well, you get the joke.

Case McCoy is currently at Texas, and the sophomore is making a major case to be the team’s starting quarterback. In the team’s annual spring scrimmage last Sunday, McCoy threw for 124 yards and a touchdown, guiding the second-team offense against the first-team defense for much of his time on the field.

While it seems more and more likely that this lockout could suspend the start of the NFL’s regular season, it will be natural for us to turn more to college football to get our fix. And, simply because Colt McCoy is a member of the Cleveland Browns, fans will have a vested interest in how his younger brother performs at Texas.
