Peyton Hillis Moves Onto Finals Against Michael Vick in Madden Vote

It’s gone from “Yeah, that would be cool if he won” to “I can’t believe he’s actually got a chance to win this thing.” After beating Aaron Rodgers – just another victim in his rampage against the some of the game’s elite players – Browns running back Peyton Hillis is now poised to become the next player on the cover of a Madden video game.

The only thing standing in his way is Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick, coming off a year packed full of redemption and outstanding play on the field. Naturally, this will be Hillis’ toughest opponent, as there are no doubt a large number of people pulling for Vick simply because of his ability to return from a troubled past. Either that or they want to see him experience the Madden curse once again.

Speaking of the Madden curse, Cleveland fans have seemingly disregarded that notion, voting Hillis through each round with impressive numbers. Maybe they figure it would be pretty hard to see the team “cursed” any further.  Or maybe they figure (and this is the scenario where I most likely fit) that it would be great to see a fast one pulled over the league by voting Hillis onto the cover. Either way, there is a very real possibility that a member of the Cleveland Browns could be on the cover of Madden NFL 12.

Be sure to get your votes in for Hillis. Voting for the finals ends on April 27.
