This is Your Last Chance to Vote for Peyton Hillis!

Despite any notions about the supposed Madded cover curse, we at Dawg Pound Daily have allowed ourselves to become fully invested in the cause to see running back Peyton Hillis get voted onto the cover of Madden NFL ’12.

Sure, the curse sits in the back of our minds, percolating like a growing nightmare, but the desire to see Cleveland represented on such a grand stage (yes, I know I just called the cover of a football video game a “grand stage”) is too much to pass up. If Hillis should, say, go down with an injury this season – God forbid – we can worry then about what role we as the voting public played in that. For now, it’s all about the glory of seeing a Browns player who was virtually unknown before last season conquer the league for a spot on the Madden cover.

I can wax poetic about this golden opportunity for hours, but I’ll just cut to the chase and save the hyperbole for a celebratory post, should Hillis win. If you want to celebrate some Cleveland success now and worry about the potential consequences later, vote for Peyton Hillis here.
