Around the Dawg Pound: Friday Afternoon Links

Here’s a little update on the lockout for you:

Both sides met this week to continue negotiations on a new labor deal for the league.

No big news was announced but there was optimism in the air, though some sources were less optimistic about a deal getting done anytime soon.

We probably shouldn’t expect anything different for a while.

Sigh.

Here are some Browns (and Cleveland sports) links on this Friday afternoon:

  • Josh Cribbs was named “Best special-teams wrecking ball” in the AFC North for ESPN’s “Best of the NFL” week. (ESPN.com)
  • Also, if you’re into comics, Cribbs gave a great interview with Marvel where he compares the Pittsburgh Steelers to Magneto. (Marvel.com)
  • Where would you rank Peyton Hillis in 2011 Power Rankings for running backs? This list has him at #9 (Super Bowl Browns)
  • The 100 Best Names in Cleveland Sports History, Part 1 (The Cleveland Fan)
