Browns RB Peyton Hillis Out for Sunday’s Game Against Houston

facebooktwitterreddit

Not surprisingly, Cleveland Browns running back Peyton Hillis has been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Houston Texans. He aggravated his hamstring injury once again in practice this week, and it was a foregone conclusion that he would miss the game.

That means, with Montario Hardesty also out, the rushing duties fall to Chris Ogbonnaya and recently-acquired Thomas Clayton. Nothing against those guys, but when those are the names of your running backs, you know your offense is in trouble.

This news also means that the drama surrounding Peyton Hillis won’t let up anytime soon. According to The Plain Dealer, sources are saying that the Browns are now prepared to let Hillis walk when he becomes a free agent this offseason. There’s no guarantee that’s true, but at this point, one can’t deny that at least some of the details of the Hillis saga are true.

Things are spiraling out of control fast, but hey, that’s just the status quo in Cleveland.
