What Disappointed You Most About the Browns’ Loss to the Ravens?

The young Cleveland Browns took another team to the brink of an upset on Saturday, but, as has been the case with so many games this season, they doomed themselves with mistakes and an inability to score touchdowns when it counts.

Whether it was the poor clock management at the end of the first half or rookie defensive tackle Phil Taylor’s mental error at the end of the game, there is no denying that the Browns sabotaged themselves in a bid to beat the Ravens in Baltimore.

But, as always, the most disappointing thing of all might just be that everything once again adds up to a loss for the Browns.

the reason i was most dissapointed with this game is because for the first time in my life i realized that there is legitimately no hope for the browns or for any browns fan for that matter. Its bad enough that Im 18 and contemplating the sad reality that i might never witness a Browns Super Bowl, but they dont even make their games watchable. I feel that every true browns fan (including me) has a disease that has not yet been diagnosed. See us real Browns fans who watch every game every year watch it knowing that we are going to be so sad and visably frustrated after we watch it! The definition of insane is doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different outcome. Well Ive just about had it with being absolutely out of my mind NUTS. This is getting ridiculous. Why cant we at least compete with the other teams. The NFL has a good system. It is designed so that the worse you are the higher the draft pick you get, so that one day your team will be good. So I ask myself how is it that the browns have been rebuilding for over a decade? How is it possible that with one of the top picks every year for the past 12 years, we literally do not have one player (besides joe haden and joe thomas) that would start on the steelers. This franchise, my fellow browns fans, is an absolute ATROCITY!!!!

What I can’t figure out is why nobody has had the balls to ask Holmgren for facts to back up his claim that Shurmur is “a very very capable young coach.”. The only qualifications I have been able to find is, he is Fritzs nephew and he and Holmgren share an agent.. This team has been losers since 99 and the biggest problem has NOT been the fact that there is no “continuity”. The biggest, and really, the only problem has been, and continues to be the hiring of coaches that need on-the-job training. Holmgren has a 5 year contract. He has wasted 2 of those years already and has seen no progress. The team has actually regressed. Holmgrens “plan”, that we have been told is ingenious, began with wasting the first year with a lame duck head coach? I think the real plan is to make as much money as passoble for him, his cronies, and their agent, while using the Browns as a training facility for his hand picked coach, who is obviously either in way over his head, dumber than a coal bucket. I am leaning toward the latter. They used their last time out to come up with a pass to Hillis BEHIND THE LINE OF SCRIMMAGE on 4th and 5, a virtual replay of the previous play they ran, and failed to execute, on the other side of the field. This does not say “very very capable coach.” It screams incompetence at the very least, and/or flat out stupid, at most. Once again the seats sell out, the fans get raped, and we hear “Just wait til next year”.

Pat Shumer totally sucks, really anyone including children madden players can use the personnel better than he can. I would have at least tried cribbs at running back for a game or two to see what that gives you, of course you’d have to give him a break on KR’s and PR’s. We have WR’s that are native WR’s like norwood and a couple other’s that would have been much better than cribbs at least for Mccoys sake. The organization is setting Colt up for failure, they didn’t have to spend like Savage in the FA market, but they did close to nothing. I would have with with at least another proven OT and WR. And this coach, lol this guy has me scratching my head. I hope this man has nothing to do with the offensive play calling next year.. fine be a puppet that does not bother me. And tell the new OC to work from an offsite facility, because there must be some nasty parasite that embeds itself into every coaches brain at the Berea office Coach door. That is my recommendation to you Phil

This is what I would do in 2012 Draft. If there is a Prime WR receiver avail, take him. You could also trade the first pick and hopefully get another 1st round pick. But I can see this idiot Heckert trading our first available pick for a 2013 1st rounder plus trade their spot in 2012 Draft. Good for last year, we need people now bud. This year I would take top available WR, Top Available RT/RG (native), If we somehow get 3- 1st Rounders I would then take the best avail DE. On 2nd Round, I would take best avail QB (I’m assuming Colt will start for 2 more years or more). The rest Im hoping another RG, RT, RB. 2012 Free Agency “Without a Doubt” Im going to dish out just a little and try to get another WR that way.

I would also get an Offensive Coord asap. Or Demote Shumer to OC. I really think our last good OC was Chudinski 06/07 (I think I spelled it right).

This does NOT mean looking to Braylon Edwards in FA, since he was recently released.
