Are You Upset That the Browns Couldn’t Make a Deal for the No. 2 Pick?

As the dust settles from the mega deal between the Washington Redskins and St. Louis Rams, Cleveland Browns fans are wondering what could have been. The Browns were apparently oh-so-close to landing the No. 2 pick themselves, which would have ushered in the Robert Griffin III era in Cleveland.

Now, fans will be left watching him develop in Washington, perhaps hoping he doesn’t become a superstar and yet another great player who was just out of the Browns’ reach.

With everything that you’ve seen and heard about Griffin III this past season, does it upset you that the Browns were unable to make a deal for the second overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft? Or are you content with the Browns having three of the draft’s first 37 picks and rebuilding the roster in a more methodical fashion?

I am disappointed that we were not able to get RGIII, but I would have been more upset if we gave away 3 first round draft picks. The Browns will just have to re-focus on making the team better and fill in some of the big holes especially with the RB, WR and O-Line. Browns need Playmakers who can score and move the ball.

This is about more than just a qb, robert Griffin would have restored hope in a city that has none. Since Lebron left it has become a fulltime job just to remain a Cleveland fan because we have nothing to get excited about. RGIII would have owned the city as Lebron once did and even with a mediocre first season would have been fun to watch. Athletes such as he dont come around often and for once the browns need to take a chane or we will be “building from withing” for the next 20 years. The fans here are thirst for something to believe in, but I think its fading fast.

@zappama I agree. I think that RGIII would have added excitement to the Browns and to Cleveland. Three first round picks are a bit steep. But, since we missed out on RGIII…with the #4, 22 and 37 pick we should get someone exciting. Getting one or more of the following  like Trent Richardson, Blackmon, Tannehill, Wright and maybe some Offensive line help and maybe some good FA picks should do a lot to improve things. Browns needs playmakers on offense and if H&H get it together then maybe Browns will have a good season.
CAVS…Although the team is a work in progress, watching Kyrie play and win rookie of the year is pretty exciting. Alonzo Gee has been playing well and with some good trades and a good draft or two, the Cavs will be in the playoffs next year.
Indians…Although the end of the season was not good, but after 40 games if someone told me that the Indians had the best record in Baseball…I would say, I do not know what you are smoking, but I want some. There is always hope. Just keep the faith.
