Here is some good news for Cleveland Browns fans. Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal is reporting that running back Trent Richardson, out since undergoing arthroscopic surgery on his left knee on August 9, “might be ahead of schedule” in his rehab, according to head coach Pat Shurmur.

Shurmur also said that Richardson is making “good progress” and the team expects him to be back soon. Of course, that doesn’t  mean fans should expect to see him during any of the last two preseason games. The Browns will want to play this as safe as possible to ensure that Richardson is ready to go for the season opener.

Nonetheless, this is an encouraging update for the team. Without any setbacks, the Browns can expect Richardson back sooner rather than later.
