Browns Owner Jimmy Haslam and Pilot Flying J Just Keep Getting Sued

The fallout of the FBI and IRS raid on Cleveland Browns owner Jimmy Haslam’s company, Pilot Flying J, continues, as an Alabama trucking company is now suing.

This is the sixth lawsuit against Pilot Flying J, who have now hired Louis Freeh to work on the lawsuit. You will remember Freeh from his work on the Jerry Sandusky child sex-abuse scandal and how Penn State University handled the entire situation. As expected, Penn State did not come out of it looking good and one wonders if the same fate awaits Haslam and Pilot Flying J.

Of course, Haslam has denied any wrongdoing or knowledge about what was going on, but the bigger concern is that each added lawsuit means more money out of his and the company’s pocket.

Some have wondered if this growing number of trials will be such a financial burden to Haslam that he might have to sell the Browns. For a man that rich, it simply doesn’t seem possible.

However, for peace of mind and – yet another – there may come a time when he needs to.
