As reported by Jason La Canfora, Browns quarterback Brian Hoyer has a partially torn ACL.  He will seek a second opinion and then get it repaired.  While the Browns have not confirmed he is out for the season, there is no reason not to put him on injured reserve at this point and get him back next year.  Hoyer was able to lead the Browns to a 3-0 start, technically, as he did start last night’s game.

A great story and one that the city of Cleveland had really embraced, Hoyer was auditioning for a role with the Browns going forward.  He certainly made it so the Browns will keep him going forward but it remains to be seen what capacity he will play.  Although the injury is devastating for the team and Hoyer, personally, he did go and celebrate the victory with his teammates in the locker room.

Hoyer brought competent quarterback play to the Browns and combined with a great defense, the team was able to win the first two games he started and then rallied around Brandon Weeden and get a win last night.  The question going forward is how the Browns will approach the position the rest of this season.
