Thursday Injury Report for Browns and Ravens

The injury report for Thursday is out for the Browns and Ravens with a potential battle for second place looming on Sunday.  The only player that did not participate in today’s practice is running back Willis McGahee in what has become a weekly ritual to rest his knee to make sure he is at 100% mediocre shape.  The Ravens were without Kelechi Osemele, which would be a big deal if he cannot play this week with back and knee issues.  If the Browns could sign up for no McGahee in exchange for Osemele to be out, they should do it in a heartbeat.

Quentin Groves and Billy Winn were both limited for the Browns today after both being unable to play last week.  The Browns could really use Winn back as a part of the defensive line rotation while Groves is a nice option to rotate at outside linebacker and on special teams.  The Ravens listed Brandon Stokley as limited, which seems to be applicable healthy or not given what he has brought to the team this year in his old age.

Running back Chris Ogbannaya, cornerback Chris Owens and outside linebacker Jabaal Sheard were all listed on the injury report but were able to fully participate for the Browns while right tackle Michael Oher, nose tackle Terrence Cody, center Ryan Jensen, linebacker Josh Bynes and running back Bernard Pierce were listed but able to participate fully in Thursday’s practice.  Both teams appear ready to compete at relatively fully strength.
