Even coming off of the bye when there should have been little to nothing to talk about other than the fact that the Cleveland Browns would be preparing for a huge game on the road in Cincinnati this week, Rob Chudzinski managed to break some news with the announcement that Quentin Groves was going to injured reserve. To this point, they have not announced another player that would be taking his roster spot.
Chud also said that Travis Benjamin would have his surgery for his ACL tear this week.
Beyond that, Chud said that no one had any incidents or reasons that he would get a phone call over the break. Chud said he stressed this was not a vacation and to come back fresh and hungry; mentioned he thought they came back re-energized. He also said he thought Michael Irvin talking to the team about his past experiences would be helpful (hint hint Josh Gordon and Armonty Bryant).
Chud described Jason Campbell’s condition as ‘fine’ and ‘full go’; said he threw well today.
