The Cleveland Browns once again face a dilemma at the quarterback position, after Jason Campbell went down on Sunday making Brandon Weeden the only healthy quarterback on the roster.

So now it seems, the Browns will be in the market for a quarterback this week to back up Brandon Weeden, or as most of you are wishing, take over for Brandon Weeden while Jason Campbell is out with a concussion.

Either way, the Browns are gonna have to look at adding a player from another NFL team’s practice squad; or a free agent who is without a team so far this season.

When asked about the situation shortly after Sunday’s game, coach Rob Chudzinski had this to say.  ”We’ll talk about that (Monday),” Browns coach Rob Chudzinski said after Sunday’s loss about the possibility of adding a quarterback. “We’ll evaluate and see where Jason is, but that’s a possibility.”

The Browns did try to sign Green Bay Packers quarterback Scott Tolzien off their practice squad  four weeks ago, but the Packers matched the offer from the Browns’ and Tolzien decided to stay in Green Bay.  Since then, the Browns have stand pat and went forward with what they had on the roster.  After Jason Campbell going down today, they have to seek help elsewhere.

As per the http://www.thesidelineview.com/columns/caplans-nfl-corner/best-available-nfl-free-agents-offense, these are the remaining free agent quarterback’s to choose from if you are the Browns.

Sign Matt Scott, diamond in the ruff like Hoyer!

  • Vearly C. Evans Sr.

Cleveland, before you decide on any quarterback, bring in Vince Young… See if he can be a part of this team in some capacity… he deserves a tryout….

  • Greg

Not a very good list of probable back up quarterbacks.
Better off thinking of who they are going to draft next year

  • Mike

Definitely slim pickings that’s for sure. The answer definitely lies in the draft there is no question. Hoyer is a good QB, but he’s not the guy that is gonna lead this team to a SB. Hoping for Derek Carr in May, we shall see. As for all these guys listed, it’s pretty safe to say one of them is coming to Cleveland this week. Hoping Campbell doesn’t have to miss any time, but too early to tell.

Cleveland…..Make an opening on your 53 man roster now and “Bring in VINCE
YOUNG”… Vince is mobile– with talent and playoff experience…. He is hungry,
motivated and determined to show he can play this game at a high level…. Vince
    Young know how to WIN….
He is a LOW risk-HIGH reward type of guy… and a
wise choice for any GM/Head Coach looking to upgrade their quarterback pool….

Haine is a bad choice 0-4 start.
3 td 10 intercept. No brainer.
    Tebow is a good pick.
He has 17 passing TD and
12 rushing TD and 8 intercept.
9-4 start. And 1 playoffs win.

And there u have it guys, Alex Tanney off the Cowboys practice squad…Thoughts or Comments?
