Morning Browns Town!!!

Well just a few more days until the Browns hop on their charter and head to Foxborough, Mass., to face the 9-3

New England Patriots.

The big news in Berea yesterday was quarterback’s  Jason Campbell and Brandon Weeden still not cleared to practice, and newcomers Caleb Hanie and Alex Tanney splitting the first team reps at practice.  Browns coach Rob Chudzinski, stressed that the decision on naming a starter could go right up to gametime Sunday at 1 p.m.

“We can wait until Friday or all the way up to game day, if we have to,” Chudzinski said. “I think we’ll get a better sense, though, as we get into practice and as those guys are getting the reps. We can go either direction once we get into that and once we get a feeling for one way or another.”

As the season winds down, Berea has turned into Port Charles, and the quarterbacks are all hanging out at General Hospital, while the rest of us are just trying to make sense of this soap opera nightmare.

Let’s hope there is indeed light at the end of this tunnel, and next year with another draft under this regimes belt, the winning will begin….

Browns coach Rob Chudzinski talking about the very unique situation the Browns are facing in terms of the quarterback situation on Sunday in naming a starter.  “As far as our quarterback situation goes, it’s a very fluid situation, unique, one that I haven’t necessarily been around,” said coach Rob Chudzinski. “I’ll name the starter later in the week. Right now, as we stand, Campbell and Weeden have both been cleared for activity — not for practice but for activity — and it’s too difficult to know exactly when they’ll be cleared.”

New Browns quarterback on being familiar with the “numbers system” that Chudzinski runs, which he ran under former offensive coordinator Mike Martz in Chicago.  “Luckily, I’ve been in this offense with Martz,” said Hanie. “It’s not exactly the same, but (it’s) the number system, the same type of deal as Norv (Turner) does here. (I did) a little bit of that in Baltimore as well, some of Cam Cameron’s stuff. I’m pretty well-versed in it, and it’s been coming along pretty quick, so I feel pretty confident with it.”

>Here is a list of the eight records our very own Josh Gordon has broken so far this year.  Gordon keeps proving why it was the correct decision for the Browns to hang on to him at the trade deadline and trust he is on the straight and narrow.

>Don’t think you will find many people out there that would disagree with this wardrobe.  At the rate of player turnover around these parts, you would have a better chance of wearing this outfit, than buying a player jersey and expecting him to be on the team long enough to wear it twice!!!
