Morning Browns Fans and Happy Friday!!

So it’s official, the Browns will be facing quarterback Jay Cutler on Sunday at First Energy Stadium.  The Bears

Dec 8, 2013; Foxborough, MA, USA; Cleveland Browns free safety Tashaun Gipson (39) waits for a snap during the fourth quarter of New England

officially named Cutler the starter today and welcome him back with open arms, even after the great play from backup quarterback Josh McCown.

The Browns will be facing a tall task in the way of the Bears offense, which is ranked second in the NFL with 28.3 points per game this year.  The Bears are arguably the best offense the Browns will see this year, but by the sound of it, they are up to the challenge.

“No disrespect to (backup) Josh McCown, but Jay Cutler is a different monster, and we’re definitely going to be prepared for him,” said Browns safety Tashaun Gipson. “Anytime you’re dealing with who I perceive is one of the more elite quarterbacks in this game — Cutler, he’s arguably a top-10 quarterback in this game — I think that amplifies the situation.”

It will be interesting to see how the Browns top ranked defense fairs against this high-powered Chicago Bears offense…

Browns linebacker D’Qwell Jackson on the high-powered Bears offense.  “This is probably the best offense we’ve faced this year,” said Jackson. “Getting Cutler back, he’s going to come in with a ton of confidence, and they’re playing at a high level right now.  Alshon Jeffery is having a remarkable year, and Brandon Marshall, he is who he is.

Bears coach Marc Trestman on Jay Cutler being inserted back in the lineup coming back from injury.  “This decision was made a long time ago,” said the former Browns offensive coordinator, “and that was when Jay was ready to play, he would play. And that’s how we planned to do it. I look at it like Jay is our quarterback and when he was ready to play, he was going to play. That was the same view I used a month ago. And there’s no change today.”
