Breakfast with Brownie

Good Morning Browns Town and once again, Happy Huuuuumpdaaaay!!!

Yesterday the Browns released cornerback Chris Owens and receiver Armanti Edwards, the team announced.  Both Owens

and Edwards were on the injured reserve.

Offensive lineman Patrick Lewis was also signed by the Jacksonville Jaguars off of the Browns’ practice squad.

If there is one thing to look forward to this Sunday in New York, it is to keep a watchful eye on running back Edwin Baker.  We haven’t seen a burst and moves like his in a while.  The Bears run defense is atrocious this year, so it will be interesting to see if Baker has the same nifty moves this week against a better Jets run defense or if his performance was just a product of that poor Bears defense.

Either way, I’m still in the mindset of losing the last two games and hoping it’s enough to get up to the top of the draft to land one of the elite quarterbacks.

Let’s just hope Teddy Bridgewater comes out and doesn’t choose to stay in school or that brings the number of elite quarterbacks in the draft down to one…..

The Browns have tried the “sandbag” for over 10 years. Look what that has gotten us so far.I have an idea. How about “finishing” a game that you dominate for 3 quarters instead. This just might build a little character and confidence. I am 50 years old and “born” a Browns fan. Nobody chooses to be a Browns fan on there own. We are the embarrassment of the league. My dad died 5 years ago without experiencing a championship of anything in Cleveland. I wonder about my lifetime. I will not give up. (but you guys are pushing it) I continue to wear my tatters Browns colors in hope that some day, well, you know! See you Sunday!
