Browns head coaching search: Josh McDaniels the favorite according to Jason LaCanfora

Everything about the head coaching search in Cleveland is pointing at Josh McDaniels.  The people they have in house, the interest being reported by multiple sources as well as the comments made in the press conference.  Jason LaCanfora knows his stuff and has a great feel for things in addition to the fact he has been a guy Mike Lombardi has trusted to release information in the past as they have a previous relationship from their time at NFL Network.

For the Cleveland Browns, it is a pressure filled choice if they go that route due to his past with the Denver Broncos and St. Louis Rams.  Nevertheless, he has been the apple of Bill Belichick’s eye for a while and the Browns seem intent on making another run at becoming Patriots West or Central, whichever one people prefer.  This would be their third swing at making this happen, so there will be a ton of skepticism, which owner Jimmy Haslam has accepted and even taken on as a challenge.  Nothing is official yet and the two sides cannot meet until January 5th, but everything seems to be pointing to McDaniels as the next head coach of the Cleveland Browns.
