This is definitely a bizarre twist.  Oklahoma Sooners head coach and Youngstown native Bob Stoops as the head coach of the Cleveland Browns?  Tony Softli mentioned it, but it is unclear what prompted this report.  There has never been any indication that Stoops has had an interest in the NFL as this is not the first his name has been mentioned.  Those reports and speculation died off as Stoops has appeared to be a lifer in Norman.

Earlier this season, when running back D.D. Williams was kicked off of the team, there were a number of former players including but not limited to Kenny Stills, Donald Stephenson and Tony Jefferson that were really unhappy with Stoops.  Here is an article discussing the situation.

This might seem like wild speculation on the part of Softli or a great way to get Oklahoma to give Stoops a pay raise, but that is definitely a curve ball in the coaching search for the Cleveland Browns.
