Widely considered the heavy favorite to become the head coach of the Cleveland Browns, Josh McDaniels has reportedly taken his name out of consideration for the position according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. According to Schefter, the timing is not right for him yet.
There are a huge number of fans of the Browns who will be thrilled at this news, citing his issues with the Denver Broncos and the St. Louis Rams. This news does throw a wrench in things as it clouds the issue of where the Browns will go for their head coaching hire.
This will undoubtedly cause some to question the hiring process, the plan after firing Rob Chudzinski, and revisiting the fairness and widsom of firing Chud.
