Good morning Browns town!!!!

Well depending on who is telling the story, there are a couple of different reasons floating around as to why New England offensive coordinator Josh McDaniel’s withdrew his name from consideration to become the next head coach

of the Cleveland Browns.

According to NFL Network’s Albert Breer, McDaniels took himself out of the running because he loves his position with the Patriots and didn’t want to uproot his wife and four children again.

On the flip side, there was another report that McDaniel’s asked the Browns if he was number one on their list, and was told no, the source said.  It’s common for a coach to take himself out of the running, but it was very peculiar because he was thought to be the front-runner the entire time.

And another day concludes in the search for the next Browns head coach……

Broncos offensive coordinator Adam Gase on what he told the teams that were interested in interviewing him for their head coaching jobs.  “I told both teams that were interested in me that I appreciated it and I was going to wait until after our season had concluded,” Gase said. “They were great about it. They said they appreciated me being upfront and honest about it, and I thought that was the best decision for what we are trying to accomplish with our team.”

“If it comes down to it, where I actually do get a chance to interview for it — I wouldn’t interview if I didn’t think I was ready for that role. But right now I have to focus on what we’re doing for the playoffs, and it’s a one-game elimination tournament and I have to make sure my role is prepared for.”
