The Cleveland Browns could opt to talk to another young defensive coordinator according to Jason LaCanfora.  Sean McDermott is currently running the defense of the Carolina Panthers, which has turned into one of the top units in the league.  Previously, he had been the defensive coordinator of the Philadelphia Eagles after inheriting the position after his mentor Jim Johnson passed away.

McDermott struggled in Philadelphia and ultimately lost his job there, but has rebounded in a big way in Carolina.  Their front seven is one of the best in the league with young stars littered all over the place including Charles Johnson, Greg Hardy, and Luke Kuechly with outstanding contributions from Star Lotulelei and Kawann Short up front as rookies.  McDermott is still just 39 years old in spite of his experience as a coordinator.

Maybe more exciting to some is the idea that the Browns are still pursuing Gus Malzahn of Auburn.
