Jan 11, 2013; Berea, OH, USA; Cleveland Browns owner Jimmy Haslam III during a press conference at the team

Cleveland Browns owner Jimmy Haslam wrote a letter to season ticket holders in hopes of explaining and maybe easing some fears about their search for a head coach.  The Browns are preaching they are doing their due diligence to make sure they are getting the right guy because it is that important of a decision (which it is).  CEO Joe Banner and General Manager Mike Lombardi may have their jobs on the line for it and Haslam risks embarrassment.

Haslam also tried to lay out a case for why the job is attractive and why a good candidate would want to take it, citing the fact the Browns 5 Pro Bowl players and youth of the roster.  They also have a great cap situation and a pile of draft picks to find a quarterback.

Did Haslam’s letter have an impact on you one way or the other?  Did he make you feel any better about the situation or were you already entrenched in your opinion, so while the gesture might be nice, it does not change your opinion on the situation?  Let us know.
