Browns Poll: Does Jimmy Haslam's letter impact your opinion?

Cleveland Browns owner Jimmy Haslam wrote a letter to season ticket holders in hopes of explaining and maybe easing some fears about their search for a head coach.  The Browns are preaching they are doing their due diligence to make sure they are getting the right guy because it is that important of a decision (which it is).  CEO Joe Banner and General Manager Mike Lombardi may have their jobs on the line for it and Haslam risks embarrassment.

Haslam also tried to lay out a case for why the job is attractive and why a good candidate would want to take it, citing the fact the Browns 5 Pro Bowl players and youth of the roster.  They also have a great cap situation and a pile of draft picks to find a quarterback.

Did Haslam’s letter have an impact on you one way or the other?  Did he make you feel any better about the situation or were you already entrenched in your opinion, so while the gesture might be nice, it does not change your opinion on the situation?  Let us know.

Does Jimmy Haslam's letter have an impact on your opinion of the coaching search?

Nope. They can say whatever they want. It’s obvious they’re waiting on Gase and I still believe McDaniels isn’t completely out of the picture. Whoever they hire they’ll say it was their guy all along. If they don’t have a 8-9 win season this year, it’s a failure.

Actually, McDaniels is out of the picture.
He even said he withdrew his name from consideration. That would tell me he is indeed completely out of the picture. I think you are right about the browns waiting on Gase. But, after him, there really isn’t anyone even interested in the job.

Someone should have asked him if they can get a rebate on diesel fuel if the new QB or HC turns out….

    He’s a shifty salesman.
