Morning Browns Fans!!!!!!

Breakfast with Brownie is Back!!!!!

Well, the free agency signing period is in full swing, and with the NFL Scouting Combine in the rear view mirror, we are

that much closer to the 2014 NFL Draft.

At this point, the Browns could go several ways in the first round of the draft.  It is safe to assume however, with this new regime,  it’s tough to really pinpoint what position GM Ray Farmer may go with his first two picks.

The Browns breathed a sigh of relief yesterday after the deadline for the Bengals to match the offer sheet for wide receiver Andrew Hawkins came and went.  With the addition of Hawkins, that leaves Josh Gordon, as the number one on the outside, and Hawkins, the new slot receiver in Kyle Shanahan’s offense.

With the news yesterday, that the Philadelphia Eagles are entertaining offers for wide receiver Desean Jackson, it makes you wonder if the Browns would be players in that sweepstakes.  Jackson would look really good on the opposite side of Josh Gordon, and would immediately cause headaches for defensive coordinators everywhere.

Of course, there is the chance that the Browns already have their sights set on Clemson wide receiver Sammy Watkins, and they would then have no interest in joining the Jackson sweepstakes.

This is a very interesting development considering the talent that Desean Jackson could bring to the wide receiver position.

Having three Pro Bowl players running routes for the Browns, in the way of Gordon, Jackson and tight end Jordan Cameron, would be huge for whoever is under center this year for the Browns.

Needless to say, this a very interesting situation, and will be the talk of the league until the Eagles decide Jackson will not be involved in any type of trade talks, or if the Eagles do in fact deal him.

What would you give up for Desean Jackson if you were the Browns GM?

> I would agree with Chris that the signing of Hawkins is going to prove bigger than most think at the present time.  The Bengals are going to regret not matching the Browns offer.
