The Cleveland Browns have confirmed the signing of offensive lineman Paul McQuistan, most recently with the Seattle Seahawks.  McQuistan spent the past three years with the Seahawks and was part of the team that won the Super Bowl.  Before that, he was with the Oakland Raiders who drafted him as a third round pick out of Weber State in the 2006 NFL Draft.

McQuistan has experience at left tackle and both guard spots.  The 30 year old veteran will likely have the ability to compete for a spot on the line in a best 5-man scenario, but he is more likely to be depth.  Although he has been in the league for a while, McQuistan has really never stood out with his play and been more of a journeyman than anyone a team would want to have to count on if they could avoid it.  Nevertheless, McQuistan will have a chance to compete in camp and help with the move from a gap blocking scheme to a zone blocking scheme.
