Petrak is accurate in that the Browns could come out in a three wide receiver look or could simply have Gordon on the field in a one or two wide formation. This is just their official listing and doesn’t require them to be overly accurate, unlike injury reports.
We discussed the report earlier today that Gordon would only play 20 to 30 snaps. By not starting that could help the Browns staff ease him into the game plan. My guess is that they have a specific set of plays they want to make sure he is in for and then the rest just be the flow of the game.
GM Ray Farmer has stated that Gordon would have to earn his way back on the field. All reports from this week is that he had a great week of practice and gave full effort.
The Browns don’t have to hold to their 20 to 30 snaps if they feel it benefits the team.
Gordon and the possibility of Johnny Manziel, which we give you 9 reasons we think he could see some time today, will make today’s game very interesting.
