The Cleveland Browns could not stop Jeremy Hill yesterday. He ran all over the team for 148 yards and 2 touchdowns. Only a Browns fan was able to deny Hill anything, as he kept the rookie running back from jumping into the Browns stands:

See that guy wearing the #23 jersey? The one who step in front of the two Bengal attired fans to make a play. That is a guy playing like a Brown! That is a guy worth celebrating as what is good, right about Cleveland. He didn’t do anything inappropriate, just stood up for our town and our team.

Thanks to Dustin Fox, on Twitter @DustinFox37, we were able to identify that proud Browns fan as Rhett Wennes. Was great to find out that Rhett already follows this author on Twitter and am glad to share some love with him. Click here to follow Mr. Wennes on Twitter (New Window).

Now we hope that Wennes’ follower count goes way up after that fine play yesterday. Sadly it is one of the few things we have to celebrate, that and Craig Robertson‘s impressive interception.

But these are the type of things we want to help make sure Cleveland is known for. Our fans have far to long been known for “Dollar Beer Night” and “Bottle Gate,” known for terrible decisions. That doesn’t represent the hardworking, passionate fans that we interact with everyday here. Rhett Wennes does though and he deserves to be celebrated today.
