The Cleveland Browns continued to disappoint defensively in 2015, ranking No. 30 against the run. Oregon’s DeForest Buckner could change all that.

The Cleveland Browns’ defensive line has been a problem for the last several years as the club has struggled to stop the run and sack the opposing quarterback. Adding another big body to improve the defensive line would be wise and it is something worth considering with the team’s first-round selection.

Oregon’s DeForest Buckner is a talented prospect that is familiar playing in a 3-4 defensive scheme, one in which Browns defensive coordinator Ray Horton will utilize this upcoming season.

Cleveland is currently projected to start 2015 first-round pick Danny Shelton at nose tackle, although there is uncertainty at the end positions. Desmond Bryant and Xavier Cooper can play the right end while John Hughes is most likely the man penciled in at the left end spot.

Bryant had six sacks and 24 tackles in 2015 while also adding an interception. The other two had just over 10 tackles each and both had 1.5 sacks as well. That being said, upgrading the defensive end position is a glaring need and Cleveland must address it pronto.
