The Cleveland Browns have announced the team’s 2017 preseason schedule, allowing fans to look forward to some actual games in 2017.

The NFL Draft is still over two weeks away but that doesn’t mean it is too early for Cleveland Browns fans to start getting excited about the 2017 season.

Fans still don’t know the schedule for the regular season, but the preseason schedule was just announced this evening.

Preseason games are not the most exciting events, but it is nice to have a date in mind for the return of Browns football after all this draft speculation before the event has even occurred.

As seen in the tweet above, the Browns will be playing on a Monday night in August, allowing the team to showcase the brand new talent brought in through the draft. Regardless, a lot of the focus will be on the quarterback position, as it always is, so maybe a new face will be brought to town in the draft.

We could speculate for days about the quarterback position, but fans should have a much more clear idea of who the starter will be in about three weeks from now.

For now, Browns fans can begin planning some preseason trips to see the team make its return to the field in 2017. Even with all the rookies being brought in, there are other players on the roster who will be looked at to perform at a high level in 2017.

Many of these will be second-year players, such as Corey Coleman, Emmanuel Ogbah, and Carl Nassib among others, who need to keep improving and help the team set a foundation with its 2016 draft class.

The preseason is a great time to work on certain aspects of one’s game, and can help give fans an idea of how well the young players are improving.
