QB Jimmy Clausen Sure Would Like the Browns to Draft Him
The news and rumors between quarterback Jimmy Clausen and the Cleveland Browns continue, as the former Notre Dame quarterback has said that he thinks the Browns would be a great fit for him. Clausen would enjoy being a member of the Browns organization partly because the pro-style offense he learned at Notre Dame is similar to the one the Browns currently run.
Clausen is currently the #1 rated quarterback in the 2010 NFL Draft, according to expert Mel Kiper. He likes him so much, in fact, that he was quoted as saying:
"“If Clausen’s not a successful starting quarterback in the NFL, I’m done.”"
There’s little doubt that Clausen will be there for the Browns, who have the seventh overall pick in the draft, and it seems like it is becoming increasingly hard to want to pass up on him. However, the biggest knock on him has been his attitude, that he seems a little full of himself. With the Browns emphasizing a strong character in potential draft picks, does this hurt Clausen’s chances of being drafted by Cleveland? It seems doubtful, as the Browns actually seem to like him more with each passing day.
