Former Browns Coordinators Finding New Jobs in the NFL
With the Cleveland Browns going in a different direction under new head coach Pat Shurmur, former coordinators Rob Ryan and Brian Daboll have been thrust out into the cold, dark world of NFL unemployment. But have no fear, as both have found work in other places relatively quickly.
Ryan, the former defensive coordinator, has been hired as the Dallas Cowboys‘ new defensive coordinator and Daboll, the much-maligned offensive coordinator, is now the offensive coordinator for the Miami Dolphins.
You might be asking yourself, “How did Daboll swindle his way into that job with the Dolphins?” That much I do not know, but it will be interesting to see how he handles another team’s offense. Were his teams’ poor numbers in Cleveland a product of the talent or more a product of the system and his play-calling?
I think I have a feeling as to which way most of us are leaning on that one.
