Jimmy Haslam III Takes Out Full-Page Newspaper Ad to Express Excitement
Though he has only been associated with the Cleveland Browns for a short period of time, new owner Jimmy Haslam III has certainly been doing and saying all the right things.
In order to further separate himself from the distant, hands-off nature of Randy Lerner, the Browns’ previous owner, Haslam took out a full-page ad in the Cleveland Plain Dealer and Akron-Beacon Journal to express his excitement.
Fans really have to be giddy that the team has an owner so ready to do whatever it takes to win. This is nothing against Lerner, but Haslam’s enthusiasm is absolutely what the Browns need right now. A culture shift as drastic as this one seems shocking, and only time will tell how it influences on-field performance, but Haslam’s dedication has to be appreciated.
