According to reports, Todd Bowles (pictured here from his time with the Philadelphia Eagles) has taken his name out of consideration for the head coaching job of the Cleveland Browns.  Bowles, currently the defensive coordinator of the Arizona Cardinals was one of the first interviews the Browns had in this search.

It is unclear if Bowles took his name out despite being a legitimate candidate or was preemptive and took his name out of a job he was not really going to get.  This gives critics of the search fodder to say this is a mess and no one wants the job in a meaningless argument. The only part that really matters is that Bowles is not going to be the head coach of the Cleveland Browns.

The Browns are expected to wait until they get a chance to interview Denver Broncos offensive coordinator Adam Gase until they finally come to a decision, which is waiting on the Bronco playoff run to end.  There are only two teams without a head coach at this point; the Browns and Minnesota Vikings.
