Sometimes you find an NFL Mock Draft that just makes you excited. We found one of those, a 3 rounder, that we think would be a perfect draft for the team.

NFL Draft Zone put out their NFL Mock Draft tonight. Here is what they have for the Cleveland Browns:

"12) Cleveland Browns – DeVante Parker, WR. LouisvilleIdeally, Cooper or White will be here for the Browns, but Parker isn’t a bad consolation prize. Parker wins with his ability to get open with sharp route running. He also brings some much needed size to the Browns which they are sorely lacking at the moment. Even if Cleveland pick up a WR in free agency, this move still works."

More and more, Parker is getting love from analysts as they analyze prospects. Kevin White and Amari Cooper are generally ranked at the top of WR position rankings but Parker is not far behind. He is a big receiver with speed, ability to separate and high point passes. A great get for whoever is the Browns QB.

"19) Cleveland Browns (from Buffalo Bills) – Malcolm Brown, DT (Texas)After going offense with their first pick, Cleveland can shore up a need here, taking a defensive lineman. The Browns defensive linemen were nothing more than average last season, so Malcolm Brown can come in and compete for a starting spot. He’s quick enough off the snap, can lock his arms out and anchor in the run game, and can make plays all over the field."

Brown is not the nose tackle that fans want but he could be the better prospect. Brown would line up in the middle and give the Browns someone in the middle of their defense. The defense has some good defensive ends, linebackers and secondary but a beast in the middle is vital.

"11) Cleveland Browns – Arik Armstead, 3-4 DE. OregonThe Browns have a good defense, but that is mainly due to their LBs and DBs. Their defensive line players need upgrading, and Armstead is a top prospect. He has the strength to command double teams and allow LBs to make plays, and the quickness to even make some plays himself."

While many fans won’t like the Browns going after defense again in the second round but Armstead could be too good to pass up. With Brown and Armstead the Browns defense could quickly go from worst against the run to at least middle of the road. Middle of the road would be a huge for a defense that was great against the pass.

"13) Cleveland Browns – Jake Fisher, OT. Oregon"

Those who have been around for a long time know that we feel good about Fisher. Fisher was rock solid for Oregon and has the body type that he could long term take over for Joe Thomas at left tackle. We do not expect Fisher to fall to the 3rd but if he did the Browns should snap him up. He fills in perfectly at right tackle.

So what do you think about this NFL Mock Draft? The Browns get a #1 receiver, a big nose tackle, a defensive end perfect for the 3-4 and their starting right tackle. Brown and Armstead would quickly upgrade a defense that struggled up front. Combine them with Armonty Bryant, Desmond Bryant and the rest. Parker gives the Browns size outside that they currently don’t have. Adding Fisher would allow Mitchell Schwartz and Michael Bowie to compete for the right guard spot. The run game would be much better, the QB would get more time and the line depth increased.
