Most/all agree that the Browns need to upgrade their nose tackle spot. Phil Taylor, much like Albert Haynesworth, should be able to play the nose but doesn’t fill the role correctly. He likes to cross his defenders face to try to make impact plays in the backfield. The Browns need a true nose who will hold the point of attack and not get pushed around.

Paea had a great season last year for the Bears going into Free Agency. The NFL Free Agent is ranked 2nd of the interior defenders free agents by PFF. He can hold the point of attack against the run with his great strength but can turn power into speed on pass plays to make a difference in pushing the pocket.

The Browns are likely to add at least two linemen either via free agency or the draft. Paea can play either nose or strong defensive end depending on who else the Browns add. If they sign Paea and draft Danny Shelton or another big time nose, the Browns run game would be solved.

Other options: Terrance Knighton, Nick Fairley, Dan Williams
