The Browns New Uniforms have Arrived

After more than two years of waiting, and several weeks of twitter leaks the Cleveland Browns new uniforms are officially here. The curtains have been pulled back on Cleveland’s new threads. The Browns on Tuesday night unveiled their revised uniforms in front of a packed house at the Cleveland Convention Center. The Browns did the unveiling in style with nine players modeling the new jerseys are: Joe Thomas, Donte WhitnerKarlos Dansby, Barkevious Mingo, Dwayne Bowe, Brian HartlineArmonty Bryant, Chris Kirksey and Taylor Gabriel, each wore one of the nine combinations that the jersey’s can be configured in.

Team president Alec Scheiner recently called the new look “more radical,” while still “keeping the things our fans care about.” President Scheiner stuck to his word with the entire uniform, pants and all getting a complete update. All three shirts include updated striping along the sleeves with “CLEVELAND” printed boldly above shadow block numbers on the chest. Complimentary white, brown and orange pants, which feature striping and “BROWNS” down the side.

The new uniforms are an interesting balance of history and the evolution of the Browns under the Haslam ownership. The uniforms are a success in my opinion, which many fans may not agree with, but all things must change. Not to get to philosophical but the Browns of today are not the Browns of old, and sometimes the best way to shed the losing is to change everything up and hope for an improvement in the way you do business. Even if the change that we have seen thus far is mostly cosmetic, we did see a change last season and hopefully the Browns will continue to change and we will see the production on the field where it is noticed by everyone, especially the fans.

What do you think of new Browns uniforms?, and are you impressed?
