Wide receivers Dwayne Bowe, Marlon Moore and Terrelle Pryor were among the players listed on the injury report for the Browns heading into tonight’s game.
While Bowe’s roster spot is secure, and after being in the league for eight years we’re confident he knows what he needs to do to get ready for the season opener, missing out on practice time for Moore and especially Pryor is not good.

The Browns are probably going to keep, at most, six wide receivers (they only kept five last season), and Bowe, Andrew Hawkins, Brian Hartline, Taylor Gabriel and Travis Benjamin seem to have the first five slots locked up. That leaves a large group of players fighting for what may be just one roster spot.
If Moore and Pryor can’t play, that gives more opportunities to Vince Mayle, Josh Lenz and Shane Wynn to show the coaches something and separate themselves from the mob.
Sticking with the guys who are paid to catch the ball, tight end Rob Housler needs to have a solid game tonight. The Browns will probably keep three tight ends, and with Jim Dray and Gary Barnidge taking two spots, that leaves Housler battling rookie EJ Bibbs, who had three receptions for 49 yards against Washington, for the final roster spot.
