Josh McCown has done nothing to lose his starting job. He had a slow start against the Raiders, but the blame from that game should rest on the defense and the special teams miscues. Blindly blaming the quarterback just because the Browns lost is lazy and not logical.

Putting Manziel in now would be unpredictable, and NFL coaches like their jobs so they would rather stick with a starter who is reliable, like McCown.

He may not be as explosive as Manziel, but he gives the team the best chance to win by minimizing mistakes and protecting the ball. Manziel does not exactly do either of those.
