Finally, the scenario so many Browns fans are hoping for. At least I know that’s true for most of the Dawg Pound Daily faithful.

There is a real possibility that Johnny Manziel is no longer a Cleveland Brown in 2016, whether that be after the season ends or on draft day.

If the Browns plan on drafting a quarterback, Manziel does not stand a chance. A new quarterback would signal another reboot of the offense, and Manziel would no longer fit in to any of the team’s plans.

With the way Manziel has been playing as of late, and given he does not screw up off the field, I see him being given a chance to come back in 2016. That is until a new GM comes in and just nukes the roster and the coaching staff. But until that happens, Manziel may have a job in Cleveland, at least until next Christmas.

If he is to be traded, the Dallas Cowboys would likely be an interested party, and also a great fit. Not only would he go home to Texas, but he would be able to be Tony Romo’s backup, where he would be able to learn behind of the best quarterbacks in today’s game. And it’s not like Dallas has much talent behind Romo right now.

Whatever happens with Manziel, his name will continue to appear in the headlines until any move is made.
